Cushion, Concrete, and Mason Sand

Cushion sand is exactly what it says it is – sand that cushions heavy slabs of concrete. When a ew house is built youll often see a noticable sand layer prior to the pouring of concrete. The sand will fill in imperfections of the soil and provide good drainage under the slab. Cushion sand has multiple other applications like a base for pavers and brick or large flagstones.
